Field Use Guidelines
  • Prior to each use remove any rocks, sticks, cones or trash on the playing field
  • After each use please:
    • clean out dugouts
    • fill in holes at pitchers mound, home plate, bull pens, and at each base
    • hand drag baseline
    • tarp mound and homeplate with tarp provided- especially when rain is in the immediate forecast
    • keep trough and drains on each field open and clear so as to allow rainwater to run off
  • When there is more than one game on a field, the visiting team is responsible to make the field ready for the next game
  • Last person to leave the premises must close all road gates, lock gate to bathroom and turn off all lights
  • Please no "horseplay" allowed on or around any field
  • No gum, candy, or soft drinks allowed on field
  • Do not allow players to stand on foul line to practice or warm up
  • Do not allow outfielders to scratch or dig holes in the grass outfields
  • Do not allow players to kick rocks and debris from dugouts onto the infield
  • Do not allow players to hit or kick or climb over fences and damage any signs
  • REMEMBER THESE FIELDS ARE HEAVILY USED THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. IF EVERYONE DOES THEIR PART TO ENSURE THE FIELDS ARE KEPT IN GOOD CONDITION, THEN WE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF WEAR ON THE FIELD AND INCREASE FIELD TIME
  • WHEN FIELD CONDITIONS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PLAY DUE TO RAIN OR ADVERSE WEATHER, THEN THERE WILL BE A SIGN POSTED OUTSIDE THE CONCESSION STAND AND WEST RALEIGH WILL MAKE ITS BEST EFFORT TO INFORM EVERYONE VIA TEXTS, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND THE WEBSITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
