About the WR Leagues

Spring Season:
The spring baseball season begins with practices in early late February, games beginning in late March or early April and the end of season tournament takes place in late May and early June. The spring program is designed to offer highly competitive league play (except for Modified Coach Pitch (MCP). The leagues include: MCP (5-6 yrs.), Minor League coach pitch (6-8 yrs.), Rookie (9-10 yrs.), National and American Leagues (11-12 yrs.) and Junior Select (13-14 yrs.).

All-Star Season:
Highly skilled all-star teams represent West Raleigh in tournaments during June, July and sometimes August. All-Star teams play in local and sometimes distant tournaments, frequently reaching regional competitions and have even made it to 12 World Series events, winning 4 National Championships and one World Championship.

Fall Season:
The fall program begins with practices in mid-August, games beginning early September and the end of season tournament takes place in late October. The fall program is designed to provide a balance of high level instructional training and player skill development, with healty competition. The fall program includes MCP League (4-5 yrs.), Minor League coach-pitch (5-7 yrs.), Rookie League (8-9 yrs.), Major League (10-11 yrs.) and Junior Select (12-13 yrs.).
